Self-Care & Aesthetics: A/W 2022

‘Self-care’ has become increasingly popular in the last few years, and whether you’re a ‘self-love’ advocate and are part of the movement or you roll your eyes at the mention of another trend, there’s no denying that we could all benefit from some me time!

The term ‘wellness’ has come to hold a variety of meanings – from good physical health to psychological well-being. However, recently ‘beauty’ has become included in the self-care movement, and some have described self-care as just another method of selling health and beauty products and treatments.

For those of you already practising self-care, you’ll know that this is a harsh, inaccurate representation of what self-care is. Self-care often centres around beauty and beauty products or treatments, but it is not the pursuit of beauty in the traditional sense. Self-care is not about drastically altering your appearance or following the latest diet to pursue ‘perfection.’ Self-care means caring for your body and mind.

Think of how you behave towards your children, your partner, or even your pet. It’s likely that you give them the best care and attention, tending to all of their needs without a second thought, but do you treat yourself with the same regard? … A study found that when a patient is prescribed medication, only 50% of them will successfully submit, collect and correctly administer the full course of treatment. However, when a pet was prescribed medication, this percentage drastically increased to almost 90%. This speaks volumes about how we care for ourselves compared to others.

This is the year we break this habit and set aside quality time to care for number one. In a bustling world full of pressures and stresses, failing to find some much-needed time could leave you feeling burnt out, drained and exhausted. Self-care can be whatever you need it to be and really, it’s all about what makes YOU feel good! But, if you’re new to the self-love movement, or you’re struggling to find some new ways to show yourself you care, we’ve chosen our favourite skin saviour treatments here at Tinkable.

It’s your biggest organ and covers every inch of your body, but it is so often neglected! Show your skin some love with an Elixir skin treatment which provides a cocktail of elements that award your skin with what it deserves at Tinkable.

If you’re ready to invest your skin into a pool of hydration, Tinkable Aesthetic Clinic can proudly offer you a Profhilo skin treatment. Profhilo has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, which is perfect for a skin boost and for providing your skin with the hydration it needs. It supports the remodelling of ageing and lacklustre skin.

Profhilo is a perfect treatment to help restore the skin's laxity and crepey appearance that develops as we age. It delivers a great treatment on its own but works perfectly in combination with the other aesthetic treatments we currently offer, to help perfect those results.

Need a little more intensity? Why not try a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) face treatment, also known as a Vampire facial! It is an advanced skin treatment which is great for skin rejuvenation. It's a treatment which uses your own blood platelets to stimulate new cell growth, helping to improve your complexion and skin texture.

Now is the time to invest in yourself.
